My location is by appointment only. I am located at:
1495 Remount Rd North Charleston, SC 29406
I offer in person and Telehealth services.

As a therapist, I integrate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) with mindfulness practices to help individuals manage their mental health symptoms. Through ACT, I guide my clients in developing psychological flexibility by helping them accept difficult emotions while committing to values-based actions. Using CBT, I work with individuals to identify and reframe negative thought patterns that contribute to emotional distress. My application of DBT techniques supports clients in building essential skills for emotional regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and mindfulness. By combining these evidence-based approaches, I empower my clients to cultivate self-awareness, resilience, and healthier coping strategies for long-term well-being.
In our first session, my main goal is to get to know you—your history, concerns, and what brings you to therapy. Unlike future sessions, which will focus more on processing emotions, developing coping skills, and working toward your goals, this initial appointment is more about gathering information and laying the foundation for our work together.
I’ll ask you about your background, any past therapy experiences, and what you hope to gain from our time together. We’ll also go over any necessary paperwork, discuss confidentiality, and clarify how therapy works. You don’t need to have all the answers or know exactly what to say—this is a space for us to begin understanding your needs.
Moving forward, our sessions will be more interactive, exploring your thoughts and feelings in depth. But for this first one, my job is to listen, ask questions, and ensure you feel comfortable as we start this journey together.
As a therapist, I understand that everyone’s journey in therapy is unique, and the length of time a person spends in therapy depends on their individual needs, goals, and commitment to the process. While some clients come in for short-term support to address specific challenges, I have a strong preference for working with those who are dedicated to long-term personal growth and lasting change. Meaningful progress takes time, especially when we’re addressing deeply rooted patterns, learning new coping skills, and building resilience. I encourage my clients to view therapy as an ongoing process rather than a quick fix, allowing us to work together toward sustainable emotional well-being. Ultimately, the length of therapy is a collaborative decision, guided by a client’s progress, goals, and readiness to navigate life with greater confidence and clarity.
I believe that investing in therapy now can actually save you money in the long run. When mental health struggles go unaddressed, they often lead to costly consequences, such as missed workdays, decreased productivity, or even job loss. Stress, anxiety, and depression can also take a toll on physical health, resulting in expensive medical bills, frequent doctor visits, or increased reliance on medication. Many people cope with emotional distress through unhealthy habits like excessive spending, substance use, or impulsive decisions that create financial strain. Through therapy, I help my clients break these cycles by building emotional resilience, improving decision-making, and fostering healthier relationships preventing costly conflicts like divorce or legal issues. By prioritizing your mental well-being now, you’re making a financial choice that supports long-term stability, personal growth, and a better quality of life.
