About Lydia

Hello! My name is Lydia Lozano, and I’ve called the Lowcountry home for the past ten years. Originally from New York City, I was fortunate to grow up surrounded by people from all walks of life. This rich diversity shaped my perspective, instilling in me a deep sense of acceptance and patience when working with others.

I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology at the State University of New York College at Cortland before relocating to Charleston. I completed my master’s in Social Work at the University of South Carolina. I am independently licensed in clinical practice and hold additional credentials in alcohol and drug counseling, drawing on years of experience in addiction treatment. I am currently pursuing approval as a clinical supervisor.

My ideal client is someone seeking to better understand their mental health and create a lifestyle that aligns with their unique needs. I have extensive experience working with trauma survivors and individuals who are neurodivergent. I also offer couples counseling, as I firmly believe in the power of support systems and relationships to enhance one’s quality of life. I am trained in Gottman Couples Therapy (Level 3) and tailor sessions to each couple’s goals.

To meet your specific needs, I use an eclectic therapeutic approach, incorporating methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).

If you’re ready to gain a fresh perspective, build confidence, and revitalize your life, I’d love to help!

I also hold a special place in my heart for our veterans, active duty members, and their families.
